Public presence
The updated site gave CNIGA a stronger public-facing platform while organizing a large amount of important information for members, partners, media and visitors.
Case Study
A statewide association website, conference content system, video storytelling and custom Western Indian Gaming Conference mobile app built around the way CNIGA communicates with members, sponsors, attendees and staff.
Project overview
For the California Nations Indian Gaming Association, also known as CNIGA, BurkeMedia provided long-term digital, creative and technical support across website development, member resources, database organization, social media content, event coverage and the Western Indian Gaming Conference app experience.
The project needed to do more than present a polished public website. CNIGA needed a dependable place for association updates, member information, conference details, sponsor visibility, video content and staff-managed data to work together without creating extra busywork behind the scenes.
Website and systems
The CNIGA website was rebuilt into a polished, flexible platform for public information, member resources, legislative initiatives, conference updates and staff-managed content.
The updated site gave CNIGA a stronger public-facing platform while organizing a large amount of important information for members, partners, media and visitors.
CNIGA staff could publish news, manage resources, share initiatives and keep organization content current without waiting on a developer for every routine change.
The backend helped connect public communication with internal organization, supporting membership information and California Tribe-related data in one cleaner structure.
Western Indian Gaming Conference
The WIGC app helped conference guests find the right sessions, build their own schedules and receive live updates, while giving sponsors strong visibility and keeping staff updates connected to the website dashboard.

Attendees could browse seminars, events, speakers and conference details, then favorite the sessions and activities most important to them so they did not miss key moments.
Sponsor logos were placed in highly visible areas throughout the app while staying respectful of the content and the attendee experience.
The app synced with CNIGA’s customized website dashboard, giving staff one source of truth for conference updates instead of forcing the team to maintain disconnected tools.
Video and social content
BurkeMedia captured conference coverage and shaped it into platform-ready content, including a 4K YouTube cut and a vertical Instagram Reel version that could extend the life of the event beyond the conference floor.
Project Reflection
We also wrote a blog post about why this project worked best as a connected ecosystem: public website, conference app, event video, social content, sponsor visibility and staff-managed updates.
