Crafting Powerful Logos: Our Approach to Design and Branding
BurkeMedia’s approach to logo design, brand identity and creating memorable marks for local businesses, campaigns, nonprofits and creative brands.

Your logo is your identity! BurkeMedia Productions understands the pivotal role a logo plays in establishing a strong brand identity. Our approach to logo design is centered around creating unique, minimalistic and easily recognizable logos that capture the essence of our clients’ businesses. We strive to provoke interest and appeal to the target audience while reflecting what makes each client distinctive.
We create logos that look good in a circular crop, as well as stand out both horizontally and vertically, so they can be used on many mediums; from social media profiles, business cards and t-shirts to websites and billboards.

Here are some logos we’ve designed

Desert Bohemian Trading Post
A shop in Twentynine Palms, California, with a unique bohemian style. The client wanted something colorful that included the beavertail cactus to capture the essence of the high desert. This allowed us to create a vibrant symbol that is easy to recognize.
Wounded Refuge, Inc.
A nonprofit ministry focused on helping and healing. The client wanted a group of butterflies, symbolizing personal transformation, growth, rebirth and a new beginning. There is a cross in the wing of the biggest butterfly to show that it is a faith-based organization.
Michael O’Keefe for Rancho Mirage City Council
City councilman and candidate for Rancho Mirage, California. We turned the “O” in his name into a sun, a popular symbol for sunny Rancho Mirage, and to make his name stand out and easy to remember for voters. Suns represent strength, power, hope, new beginnings and positive change. These are qualities of a strong leader and the promise of a new day and fresh opportunities.
Handy Angels
A handyman and construction service in Palm Desert, California, serving the whole Coachella Valley. We turned the left arm of the “H” into a hammer and wrench, and added a halo to the “A,” to easily have potential customers remember Handy Angels.
Steve Downs
Campaign logo for Rancho Mirage Mayor. We used a ram, a popular symbol of Rancho Mirage, and also as they are often seen as symbols of physical strength, power and courage, admirable traits in a leader.
Change The Influence
A counseling center in Riverside, California, that helps people change for the better. We used circles, signifying cycles that often imply renewal and positive change as part of a natural progression. Using the “CTI” in negative space allowed the logo to be displayed neatly in many places.
Haskell Real Estate
A real estate firm and property management office that shows strength and trust. Haskell originally had a logo, but they needed to modernize the look and feel. The logo used an eagle, which symbolizes freedom and independence.
Within the Healer
A blog about spiritual and personal healing. As a faith-based blog, a lamb is a powerful symbol of meekness, gentleness and humility.
Each logo we design is crafted with the client’s vision in mind, ensuring that it not only represents their brand but also stands out in a crowded market. Our designs are clean and minimalistic, making them versatile and easily recognizable across various platforms and media.
We provide our clients with logos that are well organized in multiple formats, ensuring they can be easily used for any graphic design needs and by various printers or media outlets. Additionally, we create comprehensive branding kits that include color codes like CMYK, RGB and HEX, along with font styles to help keep the brand consistent across platforms.
Feel free to visit the websites of each of these brands — we created all of them!
